  1. I disagree with a lot of this purely because . . .
Some of these things aren’t ” timeless and classic ” now, that’s why they’re popular.
The only reason why they will fall out of favor with people who have them is because those people who have that neon plastic furniture will probably want something more ADULT in 10 yrs.

The neon signs is for a younger audience too. That’s usually for people into clubbing, drinking, smoking culture I feel like. Also more people are out of fashion with fashion and furniture and design in general?

  2. why would anyone wants open shelves…it collects dust, unless the thing you use is DAILY; haven’t we have enough dust already all over the house??

  3. Well crap. Just yesterday I ordered a boucle couch in a small furniture workshop. I just liked the fabric, it seemed very natural and neutral and timeless to me, but I was unaware that it is this super trendy thing! Looks like I accidentally got caught in a trend 🤔 it seems to be not that popular here in Poland.

  4. I could see having a couple of pillows for the bed mage out of boucle, especially when dressing the bed for winter months, but for furniture……blaaaak!

  5. i don’t think the togo will ever go out of style. it will likely stop being trendy at some point, but there’s a reason they have stuck around since they originally came out.

  6. 1. I love the walls in the neutral colors. 100% would go for this, trend or not! I like the bright for a kitchen, tbh.

    2. Plastic is something I already want to avoid right off the bat.

  7. Europe here: wall to wall marble is here for multiple generations and it will stay, especially in the south (italy, spain, south france, greece)

  8. I never understand people’s taste and “trends”. If I like something at one point in my life, I don’t look back at it and laugh, or think how ridiculous it looks. I am a VERY decisive person, and my taste is not fluid at all. For instance, I painted my house one color, and it’s been that same color for 27 years, and I have no intention of changing it. I DID design my bathroom so I can switch out the wall paint if I want, and get a little something different. It started out as Dark Cranberry, and I discovered I hated it in real life (looked dramatic in pictures) then changed it to lavender, and now it’s ice orange. Everything else about my house never changes.

  9. 🇺🇸🇨🇦Wall to wall stone/marble/great faux/natural I think is a matter of execution. I feel that, to an untrained eye, the editorial installations are often times misread by consumers…which is why they need to recognize this and consult a good designer. 😉

  10. Put the neon colours in Clothes, where its badly needed.
Why is everone, even babies wearing back on black.

Is there a way of rounding up people who are making word art and put them in some sort of jail or asylum.?

  11. On textured walls. While the current trend will probably fade, for some of us the classic look of original textured plaster walls will be timeless.
Our 1890’s home still has the original plaster on the walls. Most has that subtle pebbled texture. Our living room has a subtle swirl pattern. Unless you are close to the wall, you can’t really see the texture, but something about the way the light hits the walls just makes it warmer and more inviting that a perfectly flat, smooth wall.

  12. I find it interesting that the current post modern trends seems to favor “interesting forms” over function. Whereas the post modern movement of the 1920s-30s (Bauhaus, etc) favored function over all else.
